
I am successful in holding down and shielding, yet this move is incredibly difficult to deal with and directly call out even when I can tell it’s coming a second in advance. Making it easier to counter would negate beligerant usage at the mid-level and preserve the top-level dynamic, as it’s still a commitment to parry. Suggestions welcome.

Honestly a universal 3 frame parry seems like the move here. Just make it so you can’t floorhug out of a failed attempt and keep the actionable frame the same or slower. There are way too many times where you hit parry and are just a little too slow despite reading the attack. Also it’s weird that the timing is inconsistent.
