Turn Casual Mode into "Fun for All" where it includes the other modes such as 2v2, FFA, and Item Mode!#954

It would reset the current reputation of “Casual” being ironically more hardcore than ranked! And by including the 2v2/FFA it would allow more experienced players to work together with the newer players; it can even work in FFA because it’s not just the experienced players trashing the newbies, but them going against each other, so sort of indirectly helping them out. If these are being rotated in, then there’s sure to be more actual casual players who are joining the “Fun for All” queue.

And of course you’d still be able to queue for specific modes if you don’t want to play the other modes, so players who are waiting on Crew Battle for example won’t have to wait until they get 5 other dedicated players joining that specific mode’s queue; they’d now benefit from those who are in the “Fun for All” mode where the matchmaker would know that there are people waiting for Crews and therefore create those matches more regularly.

But maybe this already in the works and is one of the other features that they’re going to announce regarding improved queue times! I just think they shouldn’t just call it Casual because of the bad cannotation it currently has. That’s why I say “Fun for All” because 1) it’s the name of this huge update and 2) it really does sound like a more inviting mode for the casual playerbase.

Only if there are two separate casual modes, one remaining the same as it is. Don’t remove my ability to warm up.

Oh yeah, all the existing modes should still have their own queues and the Fun For All mode would be a mix of everything, maybe even crews if they can get the wait time down.

Maybe it could even work where players get to choose what modes they want in the Fun For All rotation but I think that could hurt if the population size is too low.

I would love to be able to queue for multiple casual game modes at once, maybe let players tick some boxes to pick which modes they want? This would help unify the playerbase a bit too.

I think each mode having their own standalone queue really does ruin matchmaking once playercount reches a critical low point. People who would gladly play with you might be waiting in the doubles queue for another player while you’re over in FFA.
