Time to nerf galvan#946

A character with that great of an offstage presencse doesnt need knockdown falco laser. Its time to realized that galvan is incredibly broken and its time to nerf him. Make his moves have landing lag so that playing neutral with him is at least enjoyable to an extent

I think diminishing returns on his fspecial would help a lot, so guarding him is less of a slog. For as good as this game has tried to be at removing the rinse-repeat nature of guarding from the first game, it seems that a lot of characters are back in that boat anyway.

Galvan neutral b is in a weird place where it’s completely reactable and balanced as such, but anyone who doesnt react to it in neutral gets run over by it. Using it in neutral against a good opponent is hard and WILL get you blown up, but at lower skill brackets it completely dominates neutral.

The move needs a slight redesign, as I think moves like this are unhealthy for the game as a whole.

I think “nerf” is a strong word here. “Tweak” would be more appropriate, since he isn’t an overwhelming top tier by any means (thank you hurtbox nerfs for assisting with that).

Didn’t the last big patch give him bigger hurtboxes, as well as make magnet knock down more than 30% later than previously? Its a very safe projectile don’t get me wrong, but he either needs good awareness to get good reward off of hit 2, at which point ungalvanizing him is a good gameplan, or run pressure from the opponent making contact with hit 1 (which is lss safe since it can be flugged up to 90%~ now after the recent nerf). Your nolt is formulated less like a balance assessment and more like a political slogan haha, maybe we should wait and see the effects of his current nerfs over a longer period than just two weeks.
