Just about everybody else’s dstrong has gotten a nerf in the last few months, from what I understand Clairen hasn’t gotten it yet because they need to adjust the animation.

Clairens downstrong is supposed to be able to hit high its a function of the move comparing apples to oranges

@Sahri just because something is intentional doesn’t mean it’s fun or should never be adjusted.

@Miscellaneous Shaun I agree however OP literally just said they changed fors burns d smash why not clairens not understanding fors d smash was changed because it is not supposed to function in that way vs Clairens has that intention. Whether it’s fun or should be adjusted is another conversation but Clairens d smash does exactly what it is designed to do of current at least

There’s no way you can look at Clairen’s downstrong hitbox in Rivals 2 and not think it’s a bit ridiculous. In Rivals 1 it just barely reaches above her head, and her hand is actually higher than the hitbox. Also in Rivals 1 the hitbox stops much closer to her sword, But in Rivals 2 it reaches way past her sword for some reason. The animation and hitbox absolutely need to be changed.

Saying this but you guys also nerfed Ranno’s runspeed to be slower than Clairen’s for some reason. When I thought part of Ranno’s design since Rivals 1 was “slow in the air but fast on the ground” which feels like a slap in the face when Clairen is allowed to be faster in both instances.

I’m just tired of seeing other characters get actual meaningful nerfs and Clairen consistently dodges any or gets a slap on the wrist in comparison to what another character would have gotten instead.

I super didn’t look closely enough. Clairens hitbox in R1 is the same size as just the inner hitboxes in R2.

@Menace13 you posted those two images next to each other unironically to go “see it’s the same?” when it’s clearly not the same :P
