Bring back either MIAMI or ATLANTA servers PLEASE#528

Southerners, but especially Floridians, now don’t have a good option for servers to play on, especially if they want to play friendlies. Dallas is now the only viable option for a decent connection.

I know I’m not the only one who has issues with the servers, so I kept my server list small, but now that both atlanta and miami are gone, I physically cannot play the game with a connection that I think is good. Dallas often goes up to 4 or rollback where I play from; where I was getting 3 or even 2 rollback on Atlanta and Miami.

this isn’t just a problem for friendlies in florida, it’s an issue for the entire us southeast in every part of online play
not having atlanta was already pretty bad since most of the region hasn’t had a good “middle ground” server for a while and the miami server was often laggy even for floridians
losing miami completely means that every new or existing player from the third most populous state in the us no longer has a server within 500 miles of them, and the problem is even worse in some of the state’s largest metropolitan areas like orlando, tampa bay, and miami itself

this also forces online brackets in the southeast onto servers entirely outside of the region, and means floridians playing casual/ranked or participating in larger online brackets like r2cs events are very likely to be at a ping disadvantage

max and i attend the same weekly in central florida, and this more than triples the distance to the closest server for all of us

Atlanta or Miami absolutely needs to be a thing. The closest servers (yes, multiple) is 40-50ms from me.

Being in the more southern part of Florida makes using any other server a lot less enjoyable as they aren’t stable enough to feel good on. Dallas has rollback issues for me and Ashburn stopped being consistent 2 patches ago. Having no server to grind on as well makes it even harder to practice against anyone in state or even in neighboring states. Miami and Atlanta need to come back or playing this game online will be a complete joke for everyone in Florida.

Miami was the only server worth playing ranked on. It was the best server for my region. Having that server will better maintain player retention in my area and would be better to help new players get into the game.

honestly i think dallas should go instead of miami if we’re cutting a server, dallas has always been drastically more unreliable than maimi
