Rework etalus sour spot fair#47

its terribly weak, imo it should be removed entirely or or the very least buffed a bit because it will hit more than the devs probably expected, or at least thats how it feels for me right now

Many of the changes to Etalus were warranted, but this one specifically seems to have turned out poorly

While I’m not an etalus main, I would like to add my opinion to this.

I think this change to etalus FAir was a good change, having a ginormous hulk fist where the whole thing did 13% and had the same knockback throughout was not fun to deal with, especially when he would use it repeatedly in your face and there wasn’t much counterplay to it due to it’s safety on shield and the mixup of not doing the punch. I like that the move now rewards you for actually hitting the fist and his wrist, like in the clip posted here, being weaker because it makes sense. Overall I think this is something that can be adapted to with player fundamentals and is a better change than something like slapping 3 frames of end lag/landing lag to the move

in that video posted earlier you can instead do ff uair to catch someone that close, still explodes the clairen

i think it’s wild that y’all posting this not even 24h after the patch. Etalus fair was broken beyond belief before, and adding a sourspot forces etalii to be more intentional with its use and spacing. This is a great change!!! Also, the sourspot might have additional use in combos that you’re not considering at the moment - let it sit for a little while, get used to spacing it, and then see how you feel.

Just space better.
