Final stock transitions and stage ambience are underappreciated forms of polish in Rivals 2. Stages like Merchant Port, Hodojo, Hyperborean Harbor, and Rock Wall (with forest sounds on one side and canyon wind on the other) feel noticably more immersive and serene because of their ambient design.
By contrast, Julesvale and Air Armada currently have no ambient sound at all. This is especially apparent when music is disabled. These stages feel oddly lifeless, despite being among the loudest environments in concept.
While this isn’t as high-priority as balance or core systems, I’d love to see those two stages receive the same ambient care as the others. I don’t expect Rivals 2 to match SSBU’s environmental density (though that would be rad), but ambience and dynamism are already things that Rivals 2 puts effort into.
