
Forsburn’s Pummel Special needs a rework. Right now, it’s the most useless pummel in the game—it only deals 6% damage and releases smoke that provides zero advantage. No wonder Forsburn players only use throws.

I’m not sure when it will happen, but I know we want to at least take a look at the empowered special pummel, and maybe also the regular special pummel.


Some characters have sPummels that give them unique mechanics not shared with their other moves, like Etalus shards and Galvan’s magnetize. I’d love to see something new and cool attached to Forsburn’s sPummel.

Here’s an idea for Fors spummel.
You press your special button and there’s a poof of smoke, and either Fors or a clone is holding the opponent. (Can work like special getup / ledge getup where holding in vs out determines where the clone goes)
If the clone is holding the opponent, you have maybe half of a second before the clone throws the opponent towards you for a follow up.
If you’re holding the opponent the clone will position for a follow up, if the thrown opponent collides with the clone it explodes.
I don’t really play Fors at all but this sounds pretty cool and seems on brand, would also be way more useful than making your opponents fart for half a second.
I think the coolest aspect of Forsburn’s special pummel is being able to follow-up with an actionable teleport directly onto your opponent, but it’s so variable and DI-dependent that it’s really inconsistent. I agree that it’s pretty useless right now.

Idea 1: Special Pummle gives Forsburn a combust charge; if Forsburn already has combust the special pummle does something different
Idea 2: Forsburn makes a smoke cloud that hides the throw from his opponent (DECEPTION)
Super simple and both ideas are true to the character. The first idea i think should be put in now even if just as a temporary change
Yep. S pummel and f tilt don’t even leave smoke behind when he has combust. imo both should be looked at for rework

What if special pummel made it so a trail of smoke follows the thrown player? like as they are thrown. This would allow Forsburn to up b into the smoke close to the thrown player for follow ups

I love the idea of his special pummel just making a clone take over the grab, then do a throw that you can follow up on immediately because you’re free to move around for a bit.
