Official RoA Discord is neglected#12

RoAcord lacks structure, moderation and ways of engagement for the community.
I’m asking to bring some order and life to the server by making the following changes or anything similar to that:

• Add roles for the new characters as soon as they get released. It’s been half a year and we still don’t have a role for Galvan mains

• Allow media files to be uploaded to ⁠rivals-2-discussion and ⁠offtopic channels (and everywhere else). I suppose there is a reason why we can’t do that, but why is it allowed in rivals-1-discussion then? This is really annoying for anyone using those channels

• Add clips channels for both RoA1 and RoA2. People want to share their clips and discuss them but it’s awkward to do in main channels, especially without rights to upload stuff

• Add new stickers and emojis, especially for the new characters. Delete old emojis that no one ever uses. I know there might be lore to them but 99% of the people have no clue what emojis like ICE or TUX even mean

• Move art discussions to the threads inside the post. Allowing conversations in the art channels makes it difficult to scroll this channel for those who want to look at art. It has to be a gallery with art posts only so people don’t mute this channel and engage with Rivals art more

• Move art channels to some different folders. rivals-art-gallery is located in RoA1 folder and it’s inconvenient. fan-art is located in aetherverse but people use it to post unrelated fan art. I think that anything aether-related should be in rivals-art-gallery and fan-art has to be for offtopic

• Move Dream of Aether channel folder to Aetherverse folder

• Move ask-for-help channel from RoA1 folder to somewhere neutral or add a separate ask-for-help-roa2 channel. People ask questions about the game and we have to ask them which game every time before answering

• Maybe change the RoA1 banner and icon to something more RoA2 or merge posters from all of Aether games?

While we’re talking removing emojis PLEASE get rid of :FeelsKraggMan:. There is no need for an alt-right dogwhistle emoji in 2026.

Yeah, the Cord needs a total restructuring.

I would recommend there being two channels for art: Aether and General, using a threads setup like you mentioned.

The backer channels are also totally defunct and should be archived, and there’s no reason why the only clips channel is backer-only.

I also want a channel specifically for lore discussion, which would go under the Aetherverse category (which should newly include one channel for each spinoff game, instead of 4 channels for dreams and 1 for “spinoff”).

And please don’t delete/wipe defunct channels. Partition them into an archive section instead, and disallow further posts. Now that Discord servers have basically supplanted online forums, it’s important to preserve past discussions, as forums would.

Another thing is that for some reasom there is 2 FaQ chats, one of them seems pretty outdated, and tournament announcements is just sandwiched between them for some reason

they should host an emote and sticker contest, what I would hate if they grabbed the emotes from the game and slapped them in the discord. Also rip TUX

In game emotes are cool too but a contest would be awesome

Also bring back the RoA server tag
