
In RoA 1, La Reina’s up-special on hit had a really satisfying “whirling” noise when you were falling down, and it got higher-pitched the further you fell, indicating the strength of the move increasing. That was one of my favorite aspects of La Reina’s sound design in 1 that I would really like to see make a return in 2. Thank you for reading ;3

Yeah I do agree. I find it unclear why the move kills me sometimes until I learned that height determines kill power.
The RoA1 one sounds a bit weird but I’d welcome any sound to make it clear that it gets strong, almost like a missile


Hell yeah

That is a pretty good point and something we want to address in a future update. We don’t plan on doing something super similar to Rivals 1 since it was a particularly retro-sounding SFX but we want to make sure the power-up of the move is clearer even with the current aesthetics.
One important note is that it reaches maximum damage relatively fast (I think it takes around 60f currently) so the sound would reach peak intensity relatively fast as well but in the new version we want to sell that better!
